    GSH was mandated by its parent company the Securities House to set up a full, deposit taking, wholesale Shariah compliant investment bank in the city of London, an emerging capital and center of Islamic Finance. The team at GSH spearheaded the setup of the bank and advised the founders in achieving licensing from the UK Financial Services Authority.

GSH through its subsidiary, GSH UK, appointed a team of advisors, including Ernest and Young, Norton Rose, Napier Scott, Path, Braxxon, Madano and Siegal & Gale. GSH has also recommended to the founders the appointment of the Executive leadership team. Gatehouse Bank today has been launched with more than 30 staff members, all with exceptional backgrounds from prestigious financial institutions, only 18 months after being mandated by the Securities House.
   
Gatehouse Bank will have 4 key areas of business:
• Capital markets (including Sukuk issues and syndicated financings);
• Institutional wealth management;
• Treasury business;
• Shariah advisory services.
       
    Shmael Fund  
    GSH has served as Shariah advisor to Shmael Fund, a U.S commercial real estate fund launched by Injazzat Real Estate Company, Al Shall Consulting and Investment Company, and  Legg Mason Real Estate Services.  As a Shariah Advisor, GSH has reviewed the fund’s structure and its financing structure to comply with Shariah principles.  
       
    Alpha Leasing Fund  
    GSH has served as Shariah Advisor to  Alpha Leasing Fund, an office and warehouse fund in France launched by Injazzat Real Estate Company.  As Shariah Advisor to the fund, GSH has reviewed the fund’s structure and its financing structure to comply with Shariah principles.
