Kuwait—GSH announces the establishing of GSH (UK) Ltd and the appointment of Mr. Richard Thomas as its Managing Director.  GSH UK has been established to take advantage of the exciting new developments in the UK in all spheres of international Islamic Financial Services. It will exist to provide the group and its clients with direct access to the established UK real estate market, to corporate finance and Sukuk issuance and trading, to provide advisory and consultancy services, and to assist in the creation of investment funds and direct investment opportunities. GSH UK will also be well placed to offer these services to institutional clients, banks, and financial institutions in Europe and the Middle East.

At the announcement, Mr. Fahed Boodai, CEO of GSH, stated:

Mr.Thomas is a veteran with over 28 years of experience in Shariah compliant finance in companies such as Saudi International Bank.  Prior to joining GSH to form GSH UK, Mr.Thomas, was Head of Islamic Financial Services at Arab Banking Corporation in London (ABCIB) and CEO of ABCIB Islamic Asset Management and alburaq.
